Why was anyone surprised? Thinking Out Loud is one of the biggest songs and he's been getting critical acclaim. He's like the male Taylor. Vanilla singer-songwriter music that appeals to the masses.

 

If only he was someone to take seriously like Bon Iver or James Blake   Instead it's just watered down John Mayer and early Maroon 5.
