Breitbart news editor Milo Yiannopoulos resigns

The self-described “provocateur” was one of the most popular writers on the far-right website that was for years run by current White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon. Organizers of this week’s Conservative Political Action Conference rescinded their booking of Yiannopoulos on Monday, following an outcry after his critics resurfaced videos of him criticizing age-of-consent laws and joking about a teenage sexual encounter he had with a Catholic priest.

I read his Wikipedia page, I heard he was raped by a priest when he was younger and used to go to illegal parties shock1 he probably felt guilty and that is the reason why he became weird, I don't like him but it's a shame he turned out like that

Yeah I think that too. I don't want to excuse his behavior but I also blame the capitalist society we are living in and its lack of understand mental illnesses and traumas. I'm sure with the right help this guy wouldn't had become what he is today.

I don't know much about him because I heard about him on this forum but yeah that bitterness comes from his pain and I think he really needs to seek some help

Any word on why he decided to quit, as opposed to being fired?

HUGE backlash from his comments, he probably was forced to step down by higher ups so they can save their own asses

Either way, the alt-right is currently imploding so it's a great thing

Milo was a boring, bog standard tech-journalist with a sideline in run of the mill conservative commentary so I wouldn't be getting too hung up on how his past has turned him to what he is now. It's just opportunism. Hopefully his tragic 15 minutes of fame is up.
