Formation had a big cultural impact though. Even if it didn't stay in the top 10 forever, it still had a huge cultural impact because of the imagery in the music video, empowerment of black women, and on a lesser scale, giving more business to red lobster :P

I wish Hold Up would've been a hit everywhere too but I'm glad Formation was the first single.

Well...that's kind of debatable imo but I'm probably just pressed that I don't like it lol. I'm not a big fan of the production and the entire composition of the song. I appreciate the message and the video is awesome but the song is literally my least favorite on Lemonade.

Hahaha but I understand. It's the worst when songs you don't like get released as singles instead of the songs you love.
