Also guys, please don't act like a lot of hetero stuff is not restricted. laughcry1 It's mostly for security reasons - this algorithm is still not working properly but they are working on it.

This doesn't sound very believable. LGBTQ+ creators are a "key part" of your service but yet you'd rather listen to a "small subset" instead? I'm not buying this...

No, but this is terrible news. Luckily I don't use YouTube that much anymore and if I need to watch videos of my favorite musicians, I can look it up on the official Vevo website or application. Also that tweet, why would they restrict videos that discuss sensitive issues? I don't know what kind of issues they are talking about but I think it's important for people to be able looking at videos of youtubers talking about their coming out for example.

Yeah I only use YouTube now for uploading videos from concerts I've been to, watching music videos from my faves, or watching chescaleigh (she's the only YouTuber I care about now) BUT it's still a very popular service and LGBTQ+ people come there to feel a sense of community and a safe place to talk about their experiences and stuff, so it's very irresponsible that YouTube (judging by that tweet at least) isn't doing everything they can to fix it... I sense an uproar coming though and I'm ready for it.

This is mainly to do with companies including Marks and Spencer, Audi, RBS and L'Oreal, pulling online advertising as they were seeing their ads next to extremist content on YouTube. Why go for the LGBTQ tho dead2
