Ehhhh, I think you're reading too much into it. I could see it being one band and one solo artist, but two bands coming together is usually promoted as a "supergroup" (i.e. an entirely new entity divisible from its component parts) rather than a collaboration between its component parts.

Oh that must be it then, cause I thought it might've been a Little Mix x 5H situation cause rappers do collab albums all the time and this being referred to as "game changing" must be something really big.

I have a feeling it's probably another HDD situation, where the person posting the news is overhyping things that aren't really that important. I've just been burned by this kind of thing too many times before to stake hype on it.
