After the devastating drop of Down, it made me realize just how much better Crying In The Club is compared to it carla1

I was expecting it to be the opposite, but Fifth Harmony continues to serve that same formula that got old after Work From Home, while Camila actually became more creative (minus Sia giving her, basically, an alternative version of Cheap Thrills cheryl1)

What do you think? Is Crying In The Club better than Down, and will Camila really outshow her former band with her new era? jj3

If you mean a cheap thrills/shape of you continuation by better, then maybe.

Down is better, but I have questions is the superior song though (even if Camila's voice is unbearable)

But both songs do that since Down is a continuation of Work From Home, which was a continuation of Worth It dead7

So, those cancel out, and Crying In The Club is by far more lyrically inclining than Down being repeated in the chorus. I Have Questions definitely stomps both though, so you're right on that cheryl1

I was rootin for this bitch. You know, I went from thinking cytc was so-so, to listening over and over tryna force myself to like it, to fucking hating it now. I can't lie to myself anymore, that shit's a dud. Worse that it's a carbon copy of an annoying af ed sheeran song while mimicking sia's voice.

Zayn and Harry's singles were catchy, different and edgy. She should have taken note. It's probably so shit cause the writer was taking one when she came up with it, I guess.

LOL, the delusion. The problem here is that Fifth Harmony will only do commercial stuff, basic songs to appeal to the GP (hence why they are on their 124423 rapper collab) but Camila, quality? Now sis that's delusion. Camila ain't nothing but a product, they are both on the same level of mediocre songs but Fifth Harmony served a bop, Camila just rehashed the Cheap Thrills formula and even tried to mimic Sia's voice, I mean dead4

You can't drag Camila for rehashing a song when all of 5H's singles have been rehashes of the last, especially Down dead7

I was rooting for 5H without Camila, since I can't stand her voice, but it's just the tea. 5H could make up for it with music they release after Down, but if it's all the same, I won't be here for them.

I'm dragging both, Fifth Harmony kept with their basic, rapper feature song to appeal to the GP and Camila just rehashed a formula that was already rehashed by Ed Sheeran. From the two, "Down" is the better option simply because there isn't anymore that annoying ass voice from Camila on the tracks and I don't have to hear anymore the unnecessary "vocal runs" the producers added from Camila on 5H's songs.

CITC was a big let down, and don't get me started on IHQ dead2

The bold part is definitely some tea mad3

But I just can't get behind Down. It's too basic, and for some reason Camila's voice is a lot less annoying by itself. They both sound better separate, Camila just came through with some a little bit better than Down rav3

But the difference is 5h songs are actually catchy

Camilas single is slow and uninspired. She's supposed to the the next big thing, her lead single needed to sound MASSIVE like pillowtalk and sign of the times.

Work From Home was catchy, but Down is just extremely boring. Both follow the same formula, but Work From Home did it 10x better.

I do agree about Camila needing to smash like PILLOWTALK and Sign Of The Times, and Crying In The Club didn't meet that par solely because of the similarities to Sia, but I can see Crying In The Club having similar success like the other members of One Direction did (This Town, Strip That Down)

Down sounds like a bop on first listen

I prefer CITC by a longshot. I like Down but I don't think it'll age as well as WFH did at all (Worth It didn't age well for me, but WFH still sounds great to me). WFH > Down > Worth It.

However, I feel like we can't judge either act based on their first single. The first single is SUPPOSED to be generic in order to get a hit. "I Have Questions" should be enough proof that Camila has more up her sleeve, and I believe 4H have more up their sleeves as well.

I'm rooting for both sides and I definitely feel like their albums will be two of my faves of 2017.

Neither are good

crying in the club is a better attempt at cheap thrills than down is @ work from home, so CITC wins
