Lana should have pulled a Dua...

...and had her album on preorder like 4 months before the actual release. She's lost so much hype and potential sales for waiting this long.

Everyone is over Love and LFL dead2 How did her team fuck up this bad? They're both managed by the same team... surely they could have applied the Dua strategy dead2

Because that worked so well for Dua? jj4

The album wasn't complete and didn't have a set number of tracks until like a month ago. A preorder would've been very premature.

Lana is a household name. Dua well... probably a familiar face in Hackney.

Still lazy af of her team. Could have capped the tracklist to 18 and if they ended up choosing more they could have just pumped them out as CD exclusives. Meh.

Why would anyone follow Dua's strategy fall1 she barely broke the top 5 albums chart and currently sitting at number 21 on iTunes

Lana would be lucky to even get those numbers that harlot scarlet jj4

That's questionable. My dad hadn't even heard of Lana until this year. dead2

She was still recording for this album in March and probably continued later than that. A preorder for an album that's not finished is a big no-no for management. False promises and raised expectations that may not be met are awful for PR.

Lana isn't looking for sales though. She releases and then hides back into her private life. It's mostly for the fans, but it's strange how an artist only on their 4th album is acting like an artist on their 10th rip4

OR use additional tracks as exclusive bsides on her single releases to increase their sales! ;)
