I was anxious about listening to it and was like, "imma support you no matter what, hon, but please be good, please be good..." And I was relieved to find IT. IS. SO. GOOD. Lyrically and vocally and musically. Been listening non stop since it dropped. I have sinned, forgive my doubts. Mea culpa. 

I love that it's not petty, but still an absolute fuck you. It's not about forgiveness, but about finding peace for yourself and telling fuckass abusers "I hope you can change, but it's not my problem anymore, and it's up to a higher power to forgive the things you did." What a high road drag. 

And it's clearly aimed at scalping a specific piece of shit, but it's broad enough to work as an anthem for abuse survivors or to be relatable for people that left bad relationships in general.
