Witness

iTunes:

#12 Norway

#15 Portugal

#23 Australia

#29 Taiwan

#34 Qatar

#36 Netherlands

#37 Latvia

#52 Italy

#54 France

#77 Belgium

#106 Mexico

#121 Switzerland

#123 United Kingdom

#125 Russia

#175 Canada

It only took 36 days for it to drop below the all important Top 200 mark. I would never have thought that one of the best selling Pop artists of the last 10 years would have an album fall so fast - especially after 3 songs (I've lost track of what were "official" singles).

Is this the end of Katy or is this a sign that all the pop gurls will be going in this direction?

what are your thoughts on this?

Nope just a foreshadowing we don't really need since we already know this era is a failure

I mean I won't disagree with that but iTunes has been quite an unreliable indicator of chart success. Katy was always much bigger in streaming.

That said, I'm not surprised the album is tanking since she decided to release the three worst songs from it as singles. Too bad since the rest of the album is actually really good. xtina11

Because iTunes has proven to be such a good indicator of a song's/album's actual popularity? zzz1

Just a few years ago, iTunes had 75% of the digital market, globally wendy1

Or you stanning Carly Rae Jepsen. The world's most forgotten one-hit-wonder of the century.

Is it? oprah8

Yeah. It's really well-produced pop music and not too shallow. Something I've been missing from a lot of artist's lately.

Overall it's a much more natural evolvement than that of one of her peers.

You also think Mariah Carey makes quality music. xtina11 I guess with two opinions as controversial as these we won't come to an agreement, sweetheart. If Witness sounds "free" then I don't know what Me I Am...Disgusted - The Epic Failure sounds like. Rotten?

Don't you think it's a little bit ironic how her criticizers' main problem with her was how she never evolved as an artist / was too caught up with the Katy Perry bubblegum image? They got their wish this era but they'd much rather celebrate her underperformance, lmao. Just a general observation.

Oh.

You've wounded me.

This is not something I've heard a thousand times.

It doesn't make Witness any less of a terrible album.
