Lady Marmalade, Beautiful and Dirrty are all iconic. And the VA is clearly not about iconic videos. JT has no iconic videos yet he got the award, Bey and Rihanna have only 2 each. Christina's videography is diverse and well-executed. Videos like CHUD, Fighter, ANOM, Hurt, Candyman and YB are great. Not to mention that she was the queen of TRL along with Britney. They both dominated TRL back then. So sit your ass down, just because you're ignorant about Christina's career doesn't mean she has no achievements.  

Why 'of course I would'? I don't have it out for Xtina but it would be awkward for her to receive this award, I agree with you that JT has .5 iconic videos (Cry Me a River), but the Vanguard award is for artists who are still relevant and have numerous, consistent hits with decent videos. Xtina has a handful of hits and videos limited to a span of 7 years and nothing of impact in the last 7 years and not even any new music in 5 years. Everyone else who has received the award is still in the game.

Pop is dead and no one buys albums anymore 

 

Normal "lead single then album" eras are DONE, no one is doing it anymore and Beyonces management knew they had to switch it up and create a different type of era to make her successful again . 

 

This is what I "heard" xtina is doing too #bluemoon, if she's truly committed I'm sure she can pull it off since like Beyonce, they have the beauty and talent and platforms to still make an impact ...but considering Xtina's streak of laziness WHO KNOWS
