Britney and Xtina are on the verge of Xtinction

93 posts in this topic

No one truly gives a fuck about Xtinct and Decayney. Xtinct lost her passion for music and is too busy being the typical white soccer mom while doing endorsements for Oreos. Decayney is declining each album. It just keeps getting worse. Her numbers are slowly becoming Hilary Duff numbers. Freaking Alessia Cara is doing better than both of these women. It's embarrassing. Neither of them will ever have a hit single unless they collab with someone relevant like Drake, Bruno, Taylor Swift or Rihanna. It's just not looking good for them. I'm worried. Neither of them are certified legends so they will most likely be seen as just icons from the past.

Britney is fading but Xtina is definitely dead and gone. My younger cousins haven't even heard of her.

No one stays relevant forever ig.

From my humble observations: The average female artist has a prime of 10 years after which she will inevitably experience a decline due to the emergence of new young pop girls. This is applied to everyone.

Your fave, Mariah, experienced it in 2000-2001 with the emergence of britney/xtina/P!nk/Bey etc... exactly 10 years after her debut.

Britney/Xtina/P!nk experienced it with the emergence of katy/Gaga/Rih/etc... exactly 10 years after their debuts

Katy/gaga/rih are experiencing it right now...

It's a cycle, after those 10 years, depending on your material and impact ofc, you will either achieve an icon status or a legendary one, or none at all.

it's a "What's you?" type of argument tho.

All her former contemporaries fade while she remains. I think that speaks for itself.

Madonna is business smart first and foremost, she knew how it all went down, maybe because she entered when she was nearing her 30s, so she was sure of who she was (also she seems highly intuitive), that's why she was able to secure a legendary status in a short time, even writing the book of how to be a female pop star, this was not the case of many of the pop girl.

Rihanna is already a certified icon and she's already one of the GOAT according to billboard.

I won't knock her hustle because she works hard, she's still here but she's not certainly slaying as she used to do, she is not enjoying a LOUD type of era, she's successful but not ALL THAT... so... bye with the "better than ever" false tea.

Christina's career flop is literally her own fault. If she had made quality albums like Stripped/BTB on a two year cycle in the 2000s she'd be on the same level as Siriney rn. Ughahs1
