The first box office counts of Lady Gaga’s Joanne World Tour have been reported to Billboard Boxscore, with $8.7 million earned from the trek’s first five shows. (See Hot Tours ranking, below.)

The Joanne World Tour kicked off on Aug. 1 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and is slated to play 59 shows through Dec. 18. (The tour has 53 arena shows and six stadium shows on its schedule.)

With sellout crowds in attendance at the first four venues on the 20-week trek, the tour took in $8.7 million in ticket sales at the box office from 78,530 sold tickets at five performances, based on reports by promoter Live Nation.

Billboard estimates that, based potential earnings from both the arena and stadium events, her Joanne World Tour could potentially top $100 million in earnings from nearly 1 million tickets sold. Lady Gaga’s previous tour, ArtRave: The Artpop Ball, brought in $83 million from 74 shows.

On the road in support of her latest studio album, Joanne, released last October, the pop star is booked at arenas in both North America and Europe during the run that continues through mid-December. She will also headline four American stadiums this summer during the jaunt’s opening leg. Her sole Latin American appearance will be in Brazil during September at Rio de Janeiro’s Rock in Rio festival.

Canadian cities hosted the first two concerts on the trek beginning with a sold out opening night at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on Aug. 1. With 15,665 sold seats in the venue, ticket sales topped $1.4 million. The performance marked Gaga’s fourth stint at the arena, having played there during 2010’s Monster Ball Tour, the Born This Way Ball in 2013 and also the following year during ArtRave: The Artpop Ball.

The Joanne World Tour tour saw her first headlining appearance, however, at Edmonton’s eleven-month-old arena Rogers Place, logging $1.4 million in sales from 15,002 sold tickets on Aug. 3. She did perform in the city twice before, though, with stops during the Monster Ball and Artpop Ball tours at Rexall Place, now known as Northlands Coliseum.

The Joanne World Tour’s first night at a U.S. building came on Aug. 5 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Wash. The concert grossed $2.1 million with an attendance of 19,296 - a 36% increase on the turnstile count over her last performance in the venue during 2013’s Born This Way tour. And with a top ticket price of $251 compared to $175 four years ago, the gross was an even higher percentage, jumping 72% this year compared to her Born This Way performance.

The fourth venue included in this tally is The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. that racked up $3.6 million in revenue from a two-night stand on Aug. 8 and 9. The combined attendance count for both nights at the Los Angeles-area arena reached 28,567.

The show marked her headlining debut at the venue since it was unavailable during most of her earlier tours due to either private ownership or the facility’s major renovation. The Forum reopened for concerts in January 2014 and she did tour that year, but her Artpop Ball tour appearance in the Los Angeles market was downtown at Staples Center.

Gaga will return to The Forum later this year for the Joanne World Tour’s final concert on Dec. 18.

Edit: Jaunt means a short excursion or journey for pleasure, not Joanne-aunt like my flop self thought.
