I watched the 1st of this show. It's a cute show but I decided not to watch the 2nd season. This show is even slower than the Walking Dead, also amount of stuff they leave unanswered bothers me. Show doesn't seem to make logical sense, and that's pretty important in sci-fi.

I don't think many stores sell these except the specific stores that sell fandom merch like Hot Topic and stuff but that's USA only, sadly.

I binged season 3 today, I can proudly say this is a better season than season 2.  

I thought it would only go downhill since last season, but lord what a ride. Amazing season, what did everyone think?

I'm thinking either Halloween or Christmas next year. Leaning more towards Christmas since they did Halloween with season 2.

I’m just dropping in to say Eleven and Max are adorable together. I generally think shipping children is weird, but they’re too cute. I love how Max looks out for Eleven and they both get to bond over being the only girls in the boys’ club. They’re so powerful in completely different ways, Eleven with her literal powers and Max with her confidence and coolness, and I love seeing them learn from each other. This show has been failing the Bechdel test for far too long and it’s about time it had some girl talk. ❤️

Watched season 3  Yeah, it got way better as it went along but that really only happened at the halfway point so while it isn't bad I still think it's the worst season overall. They did try to make it less of the same as season 1 than season 2 did, I'll give them that. Liked all three of the new main characters a lot (especially Robin) and the production design was cool, although I feel the CGI was worse than previous seasons (maybe just more plentiful). Eleven's action scenes were pretty awesome.

 

Very little hope for season 4  They pretty much set everything up as a cliffhanger that will clearly lead to a dragged out season where the Avengers assemble at the very end once again after most of the characters angst over each other for seven episodes and all of them will think Hopper's dead until he finally rejoins the party. 

 

Hopefully they tone Hopper down to be the way he was in the first two seasons instead of being Angry Dad 80% of the time, and make sure to preserve Steve's friendships with Dustin and Robin because if they sideline any of those three the way they did like half of the main characters this season it'll be a pretty big waste  The creators said they wanted to do four or five seasons so maybe it's best to try to go out on a high note sooner rather than later...

Anyways yeah you were right it picked up a lot after episode 4 @Urbanov @Hyun. and I liked that they made Billy more sympathetic in the flashbacks. Did you feel this was better or worse than season 2 overall?

i enjoyed it much better than season 2! when i watched that one i couldn't wait to be done with it bc i was just not liking anything from it, with season 3's second half i actually found myself enjoying the show as much as i did with season 1, which immediately makes it better than 2 tbh

i agree so much! idk why they felt the need to make him such an angry figure this season, and then have that finale for him, we couldn't feel bad (or at least i didn't) because they just made him so damn unlikeable for the entirety of this season?

Season 2 repeats season 1 more than it needed to but overall I prefer it over season 3 partially because at least every character still had something to do - Jonathan and especially Lucas are just kinda along for the ride, Will has a half-baked arc about losing his friends and even Eleven of all characters seemed like she came quite close to just being the muscle of the group this season. And like I touched on I really didn't care for how there had to be a rift between every character except for the Steve, Dustin, Robin and Erica quartet. They're the only ones who actually seem to enjoy each other's company - Steve and Dustin's greeting was nice and I really liked everything with Steve and Robin where they're high on truth serum.

 

I think they may have done that because they thought that his tough guy characteristics and his exasperation with other characters was what people liked about him, which is was, but he also had endearing traits beyond that in the first two seasons that they left behind. I never really bought that he was dead so I never got to feeling or not feeling bad tbh

@Snow @Kristina @V For Vendetta so have any of you started season 4 yet? I've only watched the first episode but maybe my season 3 sourness has softened  though I find the shortest episode this season still being over an hour to be a bit much.

Not yet, I saw the runtime and noped out  My ADHD doesn't do well with shows over 40 minutes. I'll need to work my way into this..

It's fucking INSANE  I mean, it's basically just seven movies. I don't remember the other seasons being this long, I think maybe a season finale or two cracked seventy minutes tops but literally every single one is more than an hour. Like, even Sherlock with Cumberbatch had the courtesy to only do three "episodes" a season if they were gonna be that long
