A third gender for inter* to be introduced in Germany

Recommended Posts

It's not a gender though. It's not entirely it's own sex either. People who are intersex still have a XY or XX sex chromosome makeup, meaning that they are still either male or female. Their gender would also be either male or female also, as being intersex doesn't affect the brain in a way that would enable a third gendered brain.

That's not correct. Some intersex people only have one X chromosome. Some even have chimerical DNA, with some portion of their cells presenting XY and the other portion presenting XX.

My bad. People who are intersex still have binary gendered brains like everyone else though, correct?
