Why is Madonna the blue print for the female Pop star?

Recommended Posts

The " New Madonna" a phrase that till this day we hear and critics use to describe any new HOT pop star. Why is Madonna more than any other femele star seen as the ONE to imitate and whose career is the staple for pop stardom?

Maybe in the 90s, but he sthick is old now. Being overtly sexual and raunchy is tired now, it’s more the Britney/Mariah route, sexy but girl next door, big vocals and bops, and getting hotter an riskier over time.

See Rihanna, Beyoncé, Camila, Selena, and Demi.

Britney/Mariah route is more popular now.

No one uses gimmicks/shock factor's anymore (other than Miley? and look how that turned out moo5), they rely on God given talent like Mariah did/does. Mariah is a good singer, she can sing, Whitney too... but Madonna on the other hand, that certified pensioner has never been a talented singer (imagine Mariah and Madonna having a battle, wow that old bitch Madonna would really get swept off her feet just like she did at the brit awards a few years back!) but the biggest stars of the last decade have relied on their talent, see: Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle, Kelly Clarkson, Adele... the list goes on.

No one wants to be that old hag Madonna. They want to be known as a elusive chanteuse singer like queen of music Mariah moo5

So the talentless label puppet or boring diva route? No wonder music sucks these days.

Someone please ban these delusional cretins.

Maybe in the 90's  ...last week GQ called Dua Lipa the Madonna of this generation ny5

And it's the first time I hear a Britney/Mariah route exists.

Never heard of a "Britney/Mariah" route unless we are referring to pop stars with mental health struggles. oprah14

Funny because xtina was called the next Mariah when she came out, like many other big voiced divas. Of course none of them were able to match Mariah's career. Britney also has her share amount of people that were called the next Britney. aretha1

Christina has been compared to Mariah, Whitney, Britney, Gaga, Madonna, etc. It’s not her fault she’s so versatile and can’t fit one bill oprah14

So versatil but never matched Prime Britney's dancing-performing skills. And never matched Whitney-Mariah's vocals.

In my opinion Xtina has more emotion and soul in her voice than Mariah xtina11 And tbh nobody is here for tacky outdated 90s choreography so we good on that end too xtina11

Subjective.

Objectively speaking, Britney's performing skills at her best>>>Xtina's. Dated you say. But they are still the blue´print. As Janet.  Someone that inspired Britney and Xtina when it comes to performering. Continues to be a big influence in current performers. Not so dated after all. aretha1
