Mariah is so fucking petty

You must be really dumb to be even comparing them. Mariah came out in the 90s and released an album every 2 years. Of course her sales are higher. Thats what happens when you play the game and care about chart success.

So everybody that outsold xtina only cares about chart success?. Celine, Whitney, Madonna, Janet, her peers Pink, Britney, Beyonce, the new girls Rihanna, Adele, etc?. aretha1

Xtina was not doing anything but formulatic radio friendly music in her bubble gum pop debut, her spanish version of her bubble gum pop debut and her christmas album. In fact she has never stopped being mainstrean and pop. Mariah left the pop girl persona 21 years ago and never came back to that. She sacrified comercial success to do the music she loves the most. And had to fight against her own label that refused to promote her stuff the way they did when she was a AC diva like they wanted. Mariah outclasses xtina not just in sales. Mariah is also the more influential and impactful one of the 2.

And talking about what you say about Mariah demanding praise from others, Then why did she always praise Beyonce so much and not xtina?. You know that Beyonce's career is bigger than xtina's. Honestly you are just seeing things.

Never pretended that but if we're bringing that up you better check yourself sweetie cause Brit and MC outsell xtinct and then some

Mariahs debut says hello sales haven't been updated since 1999 when it was 9x platinum in the US and just a few thousand copies away from Diamond. I know you xtina fans like to randomly throw stuff to see what sticks but atleast get your facts right

and they're also flops oprah14

and not true sweetie, she's far away from actually selling 10 million copies in USA, with one album. Even Xtina's debut sold more in US than any Mariah' album oprah14

2013 article:

Here's a look at the U.S. album sales, according to SoundScan for Carey, the solo artist with the most Hot 100 No. 1s (18) in the chart's history:

7,605,000, "Daydream" (1995)
7,271,000, "Music Box" (1993)
5,980,000, "The Emancipation of Mimi" (2005)
5,298,000, "Merry Christmas" (1994)
4,878,000, "Mariah Carey" (1990)

https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/1555095/ask-billboard-belindas-back-jt-too-mariah-careys-album-sales

Mariah's Daydream album sold 848k through BMG, and Music Box sold 735k

https://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36950

and that doesn't add up to 10m for neither Daydream or Music Box.

No because she is not certified. Mariah is. aretha1

Anyway. Music Box alone sold as much as xtina's entire discography outside the US. So we can let her have that debut if you want. eve1

No honey. Because Mariah had legit hits. Don't try to bring mottola into this as if he wasn't using promotional tactics with other sony acts, the same way that all labels did with their major acts. xtina never had the sam global presence Mariah has enjoyed in her career. Not even close.

That gif is for you dear. A xtina fan getting brave. So Mariah is not one of the highest selling women in music now?. Nothing about her career was earned by her talent now?. Have several seats.

Stranger things have NEVER happened. I can’t even fathom how this will sound.

Me neither tbh... xtina2

But maybe like Mariah does have some lower-key RnB songs without as much of her typical melisma / runs until the end. Something like Breakdown, or... Touch My Body could be.... um maybe... naw girl I have no fucking clue. mad4
