XXXTentacion Pronounced Dead

Your view appears to be this:

Assaulting people = Bad

Murdering people who assault people = Good

Now, as you appear to advocate for some random citizen killing this guy because he was an awful person, as a thought experiment let's say that girl and that guy turn out to be horrible people too. Let's say that it turns out his girlfriend is actually a child pornographer and let's say that it comes out that the gay guy got drunk a few years ago, ran over a bunch of pre-schoolers and didn't get caught. Now that we know that they were horrible people, was XXXTentacion therefore justified in terrorising them? Would what he did to them be all right because his victims weren't good people either, and is his own death retroactively not justified to you because of that?

No, because that's dumb as hell. Nobody advocated for this guy or his actions anyway, it was simply pointed out that wishing death on others is always childish and morally wrong.

these are a ton of hypotheticals you're pulling out dead2 and not to be that guy but this is full of logical fallacies. this situation isn't black and white like you painted it to be in your post. it's not as one dimensional as assaulting people = bad murderers = good. the logic you're using is the same logic used when people say "well hitler could have potentially killed an even bigger mass murderer in his concentration camps" well i guess we'll never know? using only what we know and facts, people can be happy that he died and celebrate the murderer in the same way we celebrate our troops for going to war and killing terrorists. the fact of the matter is xxx was a terrible human being and no one is "morally wrong" for celebrating his death. imposing hypotheticals and saying "if you support his death you support murderers" and tbh ur entire post is just logically flawed...idk what else to tell ya man

dndfgdfg your first sentence REEKS of self righteousness. you're not any better of a person for feeling bad for his mommy and telling everyone else we're big bad people for not doing the same sorry! and yes we're celebrating because while his victims recover in a hospital he's off house arrest touring!

edit: whoops i meant was off house arrest touring!

And so do your sentences, sis! The debate on morals on its own leads to “self-righteous” comments, So stop talking about self righteousness! Also he had an impending trial for the cases so justice was indeed coming for him, the correct way. jj4

Again, I feel no sympathy for the dude, but I ain’t gon parade around and celebrate a death. Again, that’s gross and tacky.

As for the girlfriend, I hope the people celebrating and speaking on this take the time and donate to her upcoming surgery and hospital fees.

In order for my hypotheticals to be comparable to your "maybe Hitler accidentally killed somebody worse" one, I'd have to be taking the view that XXX's cruelty to his victims would be right if they too were horrible - my entire point is that it wouldn't be, just like his own murderer isn't justified in killing him because he was bad. Cruelty does not become right if it is inflicted on the cruel.

He was a great artist, esp. considering how young he was and how much potential he had. Let's focus on that. @Merryem half of the people Gaga worships are either pedos, rapists or homophobes themselves, I don't see you celebrating their death.

who? oprah12

a lot of people in this thread are getting their hard ons to playing devil's advocate so let's take a look at what this "young 20 year old man who deserves some respect" used his gift of life to accomplish!

None of us knew him personally or ever even met the guy. I have heard of all the terrible things he was accused of, and if any of it's true, then thats terrible! But again, we don't know if its true!!! I am also upset over the fact that the gunman is getting little to know hate. If he randomly went up to any of your favs, there would be a field day and talk about gun control and stuff. But nothing now, because we only talk about it when its convenient. A life was stolen today by an idiot with a gun, how dare anyone cheer him on.. A life is a life,

With that said, I didn't personally like his attitude and persona, but it is a sad day for his friends, family, and fans. Rest in Piece.

He regularly raped his girlfriend with his friends in a room next door - Confirmed
He waterboarded her when she was pregnant and threatened to rape her with a poker - confirmed
he beat a gay cellmate to a bloody pulp because he looked at him the "wrong way" - Debatable, but the case looks worse for X.

He wouldn't have been shot on house arrest like he was supposed to be.

Nothing of value was lost. Anyone who feels sorry would not have the same thoughts if it was done to them or someone close to them.

I didn’t know about some of this shit dead2 he was fucking sociopathic ..... jj4

In all seriousness, I don’t think it’s particularly ~right~ to celebrate anyone’s death, even though I’ve been contributing to it after the news broke. I think everyone knows this and is just letting out their feelings over the vile things he’s done... but I still don’t feel sorry for him, though.

I feel sorry for his family, anyone who was friends with him for whatever reason, and his victims. This is a sad lesson that no one is immune to these tragedies.

Some japes were made at the beginning of this thread, some shared images that mocked him, myself included, but thinking on this I see why it was all insensitive. He did and said many vile things, and I don’t feel sympathy for him, but violence should never be the answer. May his family find closure, and made his ex-girlfriend receive the best care possible.

Most of Hollywood is constructed of rapists, the same people whom the media and the general public places on a holy pedestal. Point is ; that's not the point. He was responsible for tragedies and he deserved to be locked for years in jail for them, sure. But it's not wrong to feel bad 'cause you love his work and saw tons of potential in him as an artist, which won't come to fruition due to his death. That's all. Keep it objective.
