Dr. Luke's career will 'never recover' following Kesha's sex assault allegations, court papers claim

Music producer Dr. Luke’s career “will never recover from the damage” caused by Kesha’s sex assault allegations, new court papers claim.

Lawyers for Dr. Luke, whose legal name is Lukasz Gottwald, made the claim late Friday night in filings for his defamation lawsuit against the “Tik Tok” singer.

Gottwald has claimed that Kesha, 31, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, unlawfully slimed him with false allegations he drugged and raped her.

The Grammy-nominated songwriter-producer, 44, who has also worked with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, filed suit in 2014.

Gottwald’s lawyers now say in Manhattan Supreme Court papers that Kesha is trying to “further disparage (him) by contending they are attempting to ‘bankrupt’ her.”

But Kesha, “who conveniently fails to mention that she, unlike Gottwald, has multiple insurance companies contributing to the cost of her defense — is indisputably the one who initiated litigation to support her no-holds-barred media campaign admittedly designed to ‘incite a deluge of negative media attention and public pressure’ on Gottwald,” his lawyers claim.

“Defendant's campaign was successful, and Gottwald's music career will never recover from the damage she has caused,” court papers also state.

Gottwald’s lawyers further charge that Kesha’s “career, on the other hand, has flourished.”

Neither Kesha’s nor Gottwald’s representatives immediately responded to requests for comment.

They'll never be able to prove the allegations one way or another so it should be assumed that he's innocent. He shouldn't have to lose his livelihood over things that haven't been legally proven.

There's a difference between government and the court of public opinion, hun. Just because the government hasn't slapped him with a charge doesn't mean everyone else needs to be compelled to work with him. People can still make personal choices, and people's careers are defined by personal, private choices.

I can choose to not hang out with a guy my friend says raped her, regardless of whether it went through the legal system.

That's life. Sometimes it's not fair.

That’s his own fault and Kesha wasn’t the only one that said he was a disgusting person. Several others have had negative experiences with him too.

And Kim Petras needs to ditch him or her career will be over too before it even starts. I like her but people aren’t going to buy her music if he’s involved.
