Songs You Wish Christina Had Recorded/Would Cover

Recommended Posts

Here are some songs I wish were Xtina's/she would cover/or the direction she could take for her next album. What are your inspiration ideas for Christina's next venture? I feel like it's closer than we thing. I want to hear some more soulful acoustic ballads with some smooth R&B influences. Toss in a couple bangers and we'll be all set.

  1. WALLS - Kings of Leon (this would also be gorgeous as a duet. Their voices would be unreal together. I'm putting it out into the universe)
  2. Good Thing Gone - Elle King
  3. Come Over - The Internet
  4. Hard Place - H.E.R
  5. Criminal - Fiona Apple
  6. Movement - Hozier
  7. Firework - Katy Perry (More acoustic than pop. She's needs another uplifting song in the vein of Beautiful but more upbeat)
  8. Lost - Frank Ocean
  9. Take Shelter- Years & Years (She should also duet with this gentleman. I saw him do a cover of Dirrty once during pride and it was amazing.)
  10. Disco Tits - Tove Lo

What creative and thoughtful ideas! Love this list! Moonshadow by Cat Stevens would be amazing.

I didn't even think to list classic songs. I've always wanted her to cover, "Tired of Being Alone," by Al Green. Guess I have some work to do on my list :P

ATB - ecstasy

Les Miserables - on my own |

Jewel - foolish games

Led Zeppelin - babe i'm gonna leave you

Kate Bush - the king of solomon | running up that hill

Etta James - I'd Rather Be Blind

Siouxsie and the banshees - dear prudence

madonna - take a bow

Frank Ocean - bad religion (she mentioned it before and damn this would be insane)

Shiny Toy Guns - somewhere to hide (christina's soft tone would be perfect)

Lykke Li - better alone (again, she'd kill this)

Mazzy Star - fade into you (again, the soft tone would kill it)

One of my favourite tracks off of So Sad So Sexy. They actually share a co-songwriter in Ilsey Juber. She co-wrote Better Alone, Maria, Accelerate and Masochist. I've been keeping my eye on her. You're right, this song would be gorgeous with Christina's tone. Thanks for sharing :)

Every song ever written in existence jj2 (except instrumental ones of course)

She has one of those voices that make everything sounds good (unless she choose not to by doing random/unnecessary adlibs or just let backup singers sing the whole song aka LTBL) burn1

But I'd love to hear a full version of When I was your man by Bruno mars, when she did that 2 lines on the Voice, it sounded so amazing... I don't even like the song because it's so cheesy.
