Depends how it does in the US. The version without Katy is already a smash everywhere else. The version with Katy is only for the US.

Her verses are great, but hopping on a remix of an already popular song is barely ending your flop streak bebe1

Yet everyone credited Justin Bieber for Despacito when it was already a big smash worldwide. Sexist? Double standards?

The original is out of the top 100 on iTunes while Katy's version is at #14(+9) currently. antm1

Bieber made it smash in US. I doubt Katy will do that

It's something different for Katy. Even if the song isn't my cup of tea.

But she needs to keep that slaying wig and drop a new album soon.

I wouldn't jump the gun yet, but it's looking hopeful. Both Daddy Yankee and Katy seem pretty invested in pushing it so that's a good sign jj2

Imagine if she gets her 10th #1 and blocks Taylor. brit7

It doesn't get half the hate that Medellin did. moo12

Probably because Medellín is a terrible song and this is basic but well written. moo12

Probably because it was less predictable. I kinda knew Madonna would jump on the "rent a Latin rapper/singer" trend again. But i didn't expect Katy to. Either way both songs are serving me March 2017 vibes.
