Rolling Stone reviews Madame X

Recommended Posts

I've read that this same douchebag called Drowned World/Substitute for Love NOISE.

Quote

“In just the first song, “Drowned World/Substitute for Love,” Madonna throws in trip-hop drum loops, jungle snares, string samples and pointless computer bleeps (lots of those). She shows off all these trinkets from her expensive collection of electronica gimmicks as if she’s unpacking her shopping bags after a day at the outlet malls and she doesn’t even care if they clash. “Drowned World” comes on loud, tacky and ridiculous, but it lets Madonna do what she does best: show off.”

He's just a hater. sia4

However, here's another review from Alternative Press, one of my favorite magazines from the scene (emo, punk, rock):

I totally believe this rating.
HERE WE GO ASKING "WHY WASNT THIS A SINGLE" AGAIN. JUST LIKE MDNA AND RH.
as I suspected and said here b4, the best tracks are not singles AGAIN.brit1

That album cover is indeed very good. cry2

Note that if you cut the 7th graded ones, we end up with a 9 track album, like the old days. Keep Medellin and we get a 10th one.

Why those fillers? why releasing fillers as pre album singles??????
THE NON FILLERS ARE MIRWAIS PRODUCED. IS QUAVO NECESSARY? ari4

I feel back that up will be a bop too.
