Imagine being proud that The Voice is a career highlight for Xtina. It's not a highlight for Miley , Shakira and Gwen because they have career outside of being on The Voice.

It's as if Mariah stayed 6 years on American Idol, obscuring her career as a singer and everything she did in the 90s.

It did, though. That's a pretty well - documented fact. The movie was highly controversial and discussed (example; for including the first ever gay kiss scene on the big screen) and banned in several regions, but regardless became (back then, of course) an unprecedented commercial success. It was the most successful documentary and kept that record for 12 years.

In terms of impact and contribution? Truth or Dare popularized reality TV, Dick Tracy was one of the first big money making comic based films and Desperately Seeking Susan & Evita are classics.

But... anyway!

You said singer not Pop singer, so clearly the answer is Barbra. Come on. Those others can’t compare.

Let's not forget that Truth or Dare was the most successful documentary back then, right? sass1
