Stepping away from the basic Madame X threads that have been clogging the forum for the past week or two, I thought this would be a cute topic of discussion. Who is or was the better pop girl? Is it the former Princess Of Pop Hannah Montana or the newcomer diva Ashley O? wendy3

Hannah produced some hits back in the late 2000s, including "Nobody's Perfect" and "The Best of Both Worlds", the latter of which being featured on RuPaul's Drag Race earlier this year. But her 'Best Of' record released on vinyl this year turned out to laughably only include songs from her first and second studio albums, whereas Hannah Montana 3 turned no classics and Hannah Montana Forever flopped, sending her into an embarrassing meltdown where she snatched her own wig on Jay Leno and retired from pop music. She notably created an Instagram account for a potential comeback a couple months ago, but clearly rethought any plans of returning since it never got used.

Meanwhile, Ashley is seemingly picking up where Hannah's earlier albums left off, creating uplifting pop bops that snatch her listeners' wigs rather than her own. Her rising hit single "On A Roll" received a music video release recently (while Hannah never got to make any proper music videos whatsoever) and has been getting high critical reception ever since the song debuted on that irrelevant Black Mirror show this month. The video has received high press coverage from outlets such as Hollywood Reporter, EW, and E! News. So will she be cementing her status as a potential future FOTP Fave, or is she destined to fall as a One-Hit-Wonder in Hannah's shadow, similar to Ava Maxipad's current position below Gaga?
