Marlon Brando on MJ: he was a pedophile

Marlon Brando and Michael Jackson chatted about sex, child abuse and personal relationships during a bizarre dinner conversation unearthed in a new podcast, it was revealed Thursday.

The encounter took place while Jacko was under investigation in 1994 for child molestation allegations, the podcast “Telephone Stories: The Trials of Michael Jackson” will reveal in its final episode.

[...]

The finale of “Telephone Stories” streams Sunday on podcast platform Luminary. The first 12 episodes are already available. In the finale, Ogborn reads from the sworn transcript of Brando detailing one meeting he had with Jackson at Neverland Ranch.

Here are some of the most revealing Brando comments from the podcast:

  • “I had asked him if he was a virgin and he sort of laughed and giggled, and he called me Brando. He said, ‘Oh, Brando.’ I said, ‘Well, what do you do for sex?’ And he was acting fussy and embarrassed.”
  • “He said he hated his father and started to cry. So I pulled back. I started to tiptoe. I realized that he was in trouble with his life because he was living in a never-never land.”
  • “We were talking about human emotions and where it all comes from. I could see from the way he behaved … he speaks in a very peculiar way for a man who is as old as my oldest son, 35. And he didn’t want me to swear.”
  • “I said, ‘Well, who are your friends?’ He said, ‘I don’t know anybody my own age. I don’t like anybody my own age.’ I said, ‘Why not?’ He said, ‘I don’t know, I don’t know.’ He was crying hard enough that … I tried to assuage him. I tried to help him all I could.”
  • “With this mode of behavior that’s been going on, I think it’s pretty reasonable to conclude that he may have had something to do with kids. My impression was that he didn’t want to answer because he was frightened to answer me.”

It’s not like I’m defending his actions but all these things about MJ and kids surfacing after his death feels weird. Like dude is dead for 10 years and has no option to defend himself yet all these allegations are still coming up dead2

I'm not saying he was or wasn't a pedophile, but like, isn't this all known already? I mean, most of this sounds like his interview with Oprah. I think when people say he "giggled" it comes off in this childish, creepy way. When in reality, that's just how his voice sounded and he was probably laughing nervously because he was uncomfortable with the question. (again, see Oprah interview). We all know he was effectively a man-child because of the trauma he experienced during his upbringing. It's possible that resulted in him molesting children, but it could also not have. I'm not sure. If we want to believe the accusers (which is up to the public, tbh) it's pretty much set in stone that growing up in the spotlight and his abuse from his father stunted him mentally and thus molested children when he was an adult but unable to grow up.

Except most of these accusations (in different words, made by different people) occurred when he was alive too. laughcry1 This happens all the time, too. Some people don't come forward until the perpetrator is dead because of a myriad of reasons.

I'm basically going to echo what was said above.

I don't know if he was a pedophile, the fact that he was obviously stunted in that aspect of his life (and many more) and sexually arrested does not make him a pedophile. The fact that he was exorbitantly wealthy and one of the most famous men in history, and stunted on top of all of that, makes him a target for such allegations. The fact that he was like this is not news either, anyone who ever listened to his interviews on matters such as this could see that.

The inverse is true as well, none of those facts exonerate him .

However, if 30 years of stuff like this won't tarnish his legacy, which it won't, this "revelation" from Marlon Brando (who shouldn't be throwing stones) won't either. He was weird, he was emotionally and mentally stunted that is all we know, for a fact. I'm not going to justify anything, but short of him videotaping himself molesting these kids, you're never going to torpedo Michael Jackson, you will never get his legions of fans to turn their backs on his memory.

If he was a pedophile, I hope his victims find peace, because they will never win in the court of public opinion, not outright, not where it counts. They certainly can't win in a court of law, because he was never convicted of anything, and the one time they attempted to do so could easily be chalked up to an overzealous district attorney wanting to convict one of the most famous men in history. They can't now because all that's left of him is dust, in a coffin. The fact that he went through an entire trial and millions of people STILL worship him, to this day, tells you all you need to know.

If not, it's no skin off the bones of his estate, or his children, because they've always managed to win, at least in a financial sense.

You've said it so flawlessly clap3

I've tried to be more neutral about this, but before I have expressed my doubts about the newer allegations against him. Truthfully, none of us will ever know what truly happened or didn't happen. Whenever I see others get into this debate, people are always accused of "still supporting" a pedophile, however they don't believe he is a pedophile, so how are they defending that? For me, I've always accepted that Michael had a horrible upbringing and alot of tragedies in his life, and definitely had alot of trauma and probably mental illnesses because of that trauma. He certainly was very troubled over his identify as a person. There always is the possibility that he himself became abusive because of all this, however I truly and sincerely hope he was not a pedophile. I don't think anyone hopes he was. Sadly, we'll just never know, and as you said, it will always be left in the court of public opinion in the end.

This has always been difficult because both sides of the argument have compelling evidence. On one hand, Michael was clearly psychologically damaged and mentally a child; he did things that would be side-eyed if it were any other person. On the other hand, most of the accusations against him have been proven to be lies -- which throws doubt on the others that have come out. I don't think we'll ever know the truth -- he took it with him to the grave.

MJ reminds me of a priest. Everyone assumed that he was a good guy and so nobody really questioned his behavior around kids. Moreover like the Church protected its priests, MJ was obviously surrounded by trusted people that protected his dark secret and made sure that he had a lot of time alone with kids at hotels and Neverland.

I think it’s time to realize that even if MJ was alive today, there is nothing that he could have say to delete the facts out there. Cmon there are receipts that MJ was grooming his victims under everyone's eye: he spent a lot of time on the phone with different kids....but apparently it is normal as long as the phone calls are not explicitly sexual?! There is a lot of love feeling in those call, don't you know? A child will easily get emotionally attached after spending two hours on the phone for many years with someone. MJ was a complete stranger so he had no right to take so much time of those kid's childhood. He basically shaped the kids' pure innocent minds to make them feel guilty in the future for accusing him. MJ offered to them candies and talk with them about love. He made those kids believe that they were his "friends". MJ should have looked for friends of his age or older. Kids should play with other kids, you know. A friendship requires parity in the relationship, but there is an unbalance between an adult and a child, don't you agree? Thanks god we got those phone calls recorded cuz that alone is enough to me to realize how deeply horrible and disgusting MJ "love" for kids was. Would you let your kid speak on regular basis on the phone for hours with a celebrity ? It is not healthy for the development of the child's mind. In this way the pedophile will slowly substitute the figure of the parent.  It is inappropriate and disturbing.

Take a look also to all the painting in Neverland in which he’s portrayed surrounded by kids like a god or the savior of the world. That is clearly a sign of a disturbed mind. Something very similar did Hitler in the past, who was also a disturbed man.

Then you got receipts that he danced with those kids on stage at concerts on tours and bought them many different gifts, like his Thriller jacket. He was spotted with a different kid every 12 months or so but nobody realized what was going on, wtf?!

When you look at the pictures of MJ's private life you don't see many romantic pictures of MJ with girls, but plenty of pics of MJ with very young kids. Do you wander why MJ's sexual activities with girls was so nonexistent? Do you think it is normal the way he handled the conversation with Marlon Brando? One of the things MJ supporters says about the victims is that they are lying because they wanted money and fame. Well, Marlon Brando is arguably the most famous actor of all time, so he surely could not care less about fame and money. Brando was also a weirdo and a very close friend of MJ so he could understand him better than most of other people and he came to realize that MJ had indeed something going on with the kids.

And what about MJ’s sister La Toya also said she believed the highly publicized marriage was “to throw the allegations off the little boys."??  Honestly, who better than MJ own sister and close friends can know if there is some truth in the allegations?

And have you listen to the interview in which he defends sharing his bed with kids? Those are the words of someone with a disturbed mind. It's not that hard to figured out what was going on, especially if you consider that books with pictures of naked kids were found in his bedroom and that MJ had extensive catalog of porn that he showed to the kids, as confessed by his very best friend Corey. Why on Earth MJ wanted to be the one who introduce porn to a young 18ish man who has previously groomed for all his childhood? It is not ok. There was still a big age gap between MJ and Corey so why on Earth MJ wanted to share with him something like masturbation?

Honestly, what another proves do you need?

Unfortunately we do not have any video recording of what was going on between MJ and the kids in the hotel rooms or Neverland after he turned off the light and the parents were far away.  Unfortunately, it is hard to get a proof like that in most cases of abuse. There are many people around the world that have been abused and cannot provide an overwhelming evidence of what happened.

It's is really not rocket science to understand that MJ was a serial predator.

So there was a lot of time to take some legal actions against him based on the accusations don’t you think?

Legal action was taken against him in the 90s and the 00s brit15 If I remember rightly, some of the alleged victims were paid off brit15

The legal process for abuse is not pleasant, sis, so I can understand why people didn't come forward earlier.

What's your take on Jimmy Savile?

“Paid off” so there was an agreement? I guess that means others who are coming up with allegations now can shit on his name cause he is dead and can’t defend himself? Or they’ve been in trauma for so long they didn’t realise he is dead for 10 years? Reminding you that most of the stuff comes from early 90s. It’s been almost 30 years. Wade Robson was also “paid off”, yet he still managed to talk shit about MJ not so long ago. I don’t think that’s how being “paid off” works.

I also understand that legal processes for abuse is not pleasant... but for real? What do these people even want to achieve by this? Like I said - by any means I’m NOT defending MJ, but SURELY there was a lot of time to speak about it or do what others have done - now they won’t get anything from it apart from headlines on the first page in Daily Mirror. It definitely won’t hurt his legacy and definitely they won’t be “paid off”. Basically it’s like screaming in the void. This might look a little brutal and honest but unfortunately even if they are true, it’s a bit too late for it now.

What's your take on Jimmy Savile?

Tea! For instance MJ's sister La Toya confirmed in an interview in 1994 that MJ payed 1 million dollars to Sheldon's father. That would totally explain why at that time the young kid Sheldon testified that MJ did not molested him. However an estate manager testified that he saw Jackson standing in a Jacuzzi with his hands 'down the front of Jimmy's underpants and was manipulating the boy's genitalia and a master bedroom maid said she saw the two in bed together, nude from the waist up, on two different occasions.  But because the young Safechuck at that time remained silent, a judge ruled that the allegations wouldn't be included in the trial. Basically MJ's trials confirm that the US justice system is not efficient and that he was guilty because he had to pay the victims in order to settle the trial tea2
