Rank Kylie’s Cover Artwork: “Compilation and Special Editions” FINAL RESULTS

Recommended Posts

There is a third version of “Kylie - Greatest Hits”, not from BMG, but from Mushroom/Festival Records/FMR in Australia. Kylie signed to them in 1987 with Locomotion and is still with them today. They released their version of her 1987-1999 Hits in 2004 with some extra tracks like Dancing Queen and The Real Thing:

Our next cover was actually 2. We will visit the UK version that was released by BMG in 2002. BMG had distribution rights with PWL and together they released this 2 CD set of PWL Hits and Remixes cashing in on her “Fever” fame.

Let’s move on to the International Edition of the previous cover, which BMG released in 2003. There must have been a change in rights when BMG assumed control of the defunct DeConstruction recordings, as this version adds a few songs into the mix recorded from 1992-1997 versus the UK Edition in 2002. BMG also, reissued their 2002 UK version with this cover:

We are coming to the last few covers and the 3rd last cover was the 2016 re-issue of Kylie Christmas. Not sure why they felt the need. I could of waited for a 10 year Anniversary Edition, but hey...here came the Snow Queen Edition.
