Lizzo Responds to Truth Hurts Allegations

I'm starting to believe more and more that Lizzo really is the selfish diva she's thought out to be  Between this, Atlantic's general shady activities the past couple years, what Azealia accused Lizzo of, her alleged obsession with charts & her need to break the Fancy record, etc.

Those men DID co-write the demo the lyric is from, and while they congratulated Lizzo on her accomplishments with the final track and also got congratulated themselves by Ascap or whoever for cowriting, they were upset because they were completely ignored in terms of receiving even 5% of profit for what is the song's most notable section. Even if they didn't make the original tweet (even though they clarified they'd share their profit with that user), they probably did play a role in the creation of the melody, and the fact that the song continues on with the same "even when..." idea.

Imo they were completely civil and reasonable, while Lizzo seems disrespectful here, and of course, she can't even name the person that wrote the tweet she profited off of. Ridiculous.

Nah, it's not that deep. They're just reaching for the pot now that it's full. Lizzo stated she's sharing the songs success with the originator of the line, so fuck these bros and their 5% of a song they had absolutely no involvement with.
