I think it will depend on other songs nominated/in the race. Last year, Shallow was just 100% the only song everyone was behind from the beginning. Where this year it's a little more of a boring year so far.

There’s Frozen 2, TLK, Elton John, a documentary song, an obscure choice. 
 

CATS can make it in but it’ll have to depend on how the movie itself does. Seeing how it’s already critically panned with only a trailer, it’ll be hard for them to give it nominations. 
 

Sometimes these lazy voters just choose a song from the biggest movie of the year, Or if the song is a big hit by itself. TLK out of all these is the biggest movie of the year. Elton John just did a lowkey smear campaign against them tho sooo... Frozen ll is getting mixed reviews so far with the trailer and “Into The Unknown” so far is also getting mixed reviews. So it’s anybodies game. 
 

if anything, watch them give it to an obscure movie song that no one has watched or heard of...
