I thought we could use this thread for just general discussion. Some lesser known shows + movies kinda flop when given their own thread.

So, we can use this as a way to bring awareness and have a discussion on them.

And so @Dennis Reynolds and I can talk without spamming another movie or tv thread rip.

I've been rewatching Farscape in its near entirety lately, a show that I've tried to make happen on here to little success! The fact that my friend is another super fan of the show and we've been texting each other about it several times every day (whether that means memes, brief fan fiction or any other random thoughts of ours) for a while has been a good motivator to stick with it  

 

I also watched the movie The Curse of the Fly earlier, which unlike the films it sequels has exactly zero fly creatures in it

I wanted to link a picture of the book Yes I Can by Sammy Davis Jr., but I'm on mobile and it won't let me do anything but download the image about 75% of the time so you'll just have to use your imagination  

 

Yeah, I heard about that show. I watched the movie The Golden Compass earlier this year though  Hopefully the show commits more to the interesting premise of God being their Sauron-type character...

i was just googling if that movie was related to it somehow... heard horrible things about the movie but the show is great! I’m hooked on this tbh. it’s visually stunning too. WHEW HBO is kinda slaying with Watchmen and His Dark Materials... love that they can move on from GoT

I don't mind the movie, it's not bad but I have no plans to see it again  

 

I was talking about Watchmen the other day; I suppose I'll lowkey repeat myself in saying that I don't possess the utmost faith in Damon Lindelof as both a watcher of Lost and several of his films, and I thought the first trailer from months ago looked pretty bad, but the very positive reception has perked me up a bit and I plan to watch it at some point. I'm just unsure if it'll feel like a real expansion of the original comic series or just passable fan fiction like those Before Watchmen comics they did years ago.

I’ve heard of Watchmen before but had 0 idea of what it was meaning characters, plot, etc. I feel like this show could definitely lose its way if they make a season 2 and don’t fully think it through. a Westworld teas.

I own the DVD, but I've only seen it once when I rented it years ago, I've never watched the actual copy that I've bought  It's kinda ridiculous how often I do that type of thing. Maybe it's time for a rewatch  I have some interest in reading the book also.

i literally buy movies all the time, but just end up watching it on a streaming site or illegally

I can't believe how many I've seen in theatres that I really liked, bought the Blu-ray and never watched it again  Wonder Woman, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Blade Runner 2049, Bad Times at the El Royale...there's several more but any of those would make a good rewatch actually

the most usage i've gotten out of my blu rays are my Game of Thrones ones because i used to do rewatches like every six months... that's stopped tho  but yeah i'm with you because i have all those blu rays except Bad Times, and have not watched them since my first viewing

I'm so happy I'm not alone in this  i could pretty much list my whole blu ray collection except La La Land, ASIB, GoT 1-7, Orphan Black series, Star Wars Saga, Harry Potter series and Gone Girl

Here's "unseen totally", for the blu-rays  Not as many as I thought it was gonna be. I'm not even gonna tell you about the DVDs though, there's like a hundred movies and I don't even know how many seasons of TV shows...
