1917.... what a film. I'm so happy I got to see it in theaters. I didn't expect to get so emotional in so many scenes. 

 

Roger Deakins deserves the Best Cinematography Academy Award hands down. Along with Thomas Newman, there's not much dialogue and his score elevates the film in such an amazing way. And now I understand why Sam took the Golden Globe for Best Director.

 

George MacKay's performance was so.... can't even explain it. By the end, you feel just as exhausted as his character. Wish he was getting more award recognition.

are you in like a small town area?  it can be so hard even with wide release movies omg I hate it

I don't live in a city or town at all, but I drive to the nearest city (Winnipeg) and not one theatre has the movie

Yeah, pretty much  if the movie completely lacks a release in my area and I don't even have the option to pay for it when I'd totally be willing to it seems fair enough, but honestly even then I'd be paranoid

i'm kinda the same... i used to t*rrent EVERYTHING but then my internet service literally had POP UPS showing on my computer saying they knew what I was t*rrenting and that if I continued, they'd shut it down. I live in a small area so there's not many places to go for internet providers...  now i just illegally stream CERTAIN movies, but i usually just buy them and rip them onto my computer from a blu-ray writer  it sucks because i'd love to have Netflix shows on my computer, but they really only release Stranger Things

I’ve known it’s not for a while, I think I told Hannah first and she told me  but today I reverse google searched it and was looking to see if Fran was the inspiration behind the picture anyway

I've been going through all the Muppet movies/shows with the goal of seeing them all, and man, what a fucking shame that the 2015 ABC series didn't last more than one season  This joke is the hardest I've laughed at anything in a while:

oh we LOVE that! i want to watch it (never have) but like HOW gruesome is it? like I’m not expecting it to be a super easy watch like Toy Story dd but is it gonna be like watching a Saw movie?
