Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande | Rain On Me | May 22, 2020

I have replayed the song 3 times. The song desperately needs huge belt moments. Both have great voices, so why did Ariana coo? Why did Gaga make that tired robotic voice? What is happening? ari1

I've given it a couple spins and this song is absolutely a grower!

I see I'm also not the only one who got some Be Alright vibes, as well as it serving Artpop Act 2!

My hopes in this era are somewhat restored, but I'm not gonna get ahead of myself until the video. That has the potential to elevate the fuck out of this song!

A really great song! The instrumental is slick and the production pretty perfect. The 90s club/disco sound is fantastic. It reminds me a lot of late 90s/early 2000s eurodance and I love that shit. I'm a much bigger fan of Ariana's voice than Gaga's. There's something about Gaga's voice since Joanne that I don't always mesh with. That being said, she doesn't sound bad, and I'm quite impressed overall. I was expecting a bigger climax, and the song is quite short.

I'm also continuously disappointed with Gaga's songwriting, though. Why do we keep getting non-choruses? The instrumental is great, but it would have been nice to actually have a chorus. We kinda get this with Ariana towards the end there, which is probably my favorite part of the song.

Overall, miles better than SL, and will keep me interested in checking out the album.
