Xtina was going to be called "Christina Agee" by music execs

Recommended Posts

Music execs thought "Aguilera" was too ethnic, long and complicated for the world, and wanted to rename her to "Christina Agee" as one of the fail options. dead2 I'm glad they didn't, and Xtina fought for the Aguilera last name, it has a nicer ring with Christina than "Agee" moo1

I see some people criticizing her because she made Spanish music but didn't speak Spanish, but the good sis has been fighting to keep her Latina identity for her whole life jj3

Christina Agee sounds like something you should visit a doctor for.

If they wanted a stage name then Xtina is best (especially given that that's what she's known as by many), but it should've been her choice, not some music exec.
