What Is The Oldest Album You’ve Listened To?

Recommended Posts

Do you like to listen to the music that your parents listened to when they were your age, or are you uninterested in it?

Are you a “Beatles”/“Rolling Stones”/“Elvis” fan, or do you refuse to listen to anything that was released before the 80’s? 90’s? 00’s?

Do you listen to Classical music?

What’s the oldest album you’ve ever listened to, and what did you think of it?

Discuss! moo7

Aretha Franklin - Lady Soul (1968)

The Supremes - A' Go-Go (1966)

I think these are the two oldest albums that I’ve listened to in full and have fully enjoyed. So much talent and inspiration. Iconic

Yes, I listen to classical. Fantaisie-Impromptu by Chopin is one of my fave pieces. I also like operas, and cantatas like this one:

For modern music, I enjoy listening to old music from as early as the 40's. I don't mind listening to old music because it takes me to a different place. Carpenters is the only one where I explored the entire discography though.

Maybe It's You is probably one of my all time favourite Carpenters song and it's in that album jj2

Album from start to finish would have to be The Beatles' catalogue but I've listened to older songs and since I was in orchestra for 7 years, I've listened to a ton of classical

I'm in LOVE with Judy's songs from the soundtrack (The Man That Got Away is my all time fav song probably)

YESSSS giveup1

This movie and the songs are brilliant. Still praying someone has the full, uncut film, and one day we can witness Judy's slayage in its full 3 hour glory oprah7

I know cry5 I'm glad the musical numbers survived, but the scenes with stills make it harder to focus on the dialogue imo. There's been rumored to be a full, uncut version for years, in the hands of film collectors... but the owners don't want to work with the studio to restore it brit15
