I never understood why Britney was considered Madonna's successor or her musical daughter when they barely have anything in common.

Brit was clearly inspired by Madonna, she said that too, she LOVES her!

Even though Britney was created as the White Janet Jackson.

Britney covered some Madge songs though.

also Britney's career from In The Zone to Circus was CLEARLY (like really CLEARLY) influenced by Madge. You say these lies just bc u dont like M, therefore you gonna lie!

Being inspired doesn't mean Britney is Madonna's successor. Britney is not a white Janet, that's such an insult to her. Hell, Madonna and Janet have more in common with each other than Britney does with her. Honestly, the closest thing to Madonna we have in the 2000s is probably Rihanna.

Well, Rihanna said she wanted to be the black Madge, but imo she is more of a black Kylie. P!nk was the closest thing to Madge we had in the 2000s.

Yes, Britney is the white Janet and here's why:

1= both have similar dance moves and vocals

2= both have similar outfits in a lot of occasions

3= similar performance style

4= in many occasions similar music

5= Britney even has a very similar personality to Janet's

6= even her "coming of age" phase was very Janet.

And how is it an insult btw? bey4

I dont want to argue with u so bye!

Rihanna is Rihanna, she doesn‘t need to be the Black Version of some white artist rip3

1= There's nothing similar about their voices. What are you talking about? Janet is a much better singer than Britney

2= What does this have to do with them being "similar"?

3= No... just no. Janet is a much better performer than Britney. Nothing similar about their performance styles. Anyone with functioning eyes can see that.

4= The only thing their music has in common is that they both make pop/dance music (one more than the other). Lyrically, they couldn't be any different

5= Again, What does this have to do with them being "similar"?

I meant it was an insult to Janet, not Britney. Also, why do you want Britney to be a copy of another artist? Wouldn't it be better if she was her own artist with her own style. Not just borrowing from another established act?
