Aaliyah's music is coming to streaming services soon, the late singer's estate has confirmed.

The R&B singer's estate posted a statement online yesterday (Aug. 25), on the 19th anniversary of her death. Aaliyah died aged 22 in a plane crash on August 25, 2001.

Most of the star's catalogue isn't available on streaming services, except for her 1994 debut album Age Ain't Nothing But A Number and a selection of singles that appear via compilation albums.

In a statement posted to social media, her estate said: “To our loyal fans: We are excited to announce that communication has commenced between the estate and various record labels about the status of Aaliyah’s music catalogue, as well as its availability on streaming platforms in the near future. Thank you for your continued love and support. More updates to come."

Aaliyah signed with Jive Records when she was 12 years old. Her debut album, Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number, followed two years later and went double platinum in the US.

In the UK, Aaliyah has 17 Top 40 singles, including Number 1 hit More Than A Woman, which topped the Official Chart four months after her death.
