ALL future major Sony movies are coming to Netflix in 2022

Netflix will now be the exclusive official streaming home of Sony's feature films beginning in 2022 after they finish their theatrical run.

When Sony Pictures’ Uncharted and Morbius begin streaming in 2022, they’ll do so exclusively on Netflix, Netflix announced Thursday. Other Sony Pictures that will stream exclusively on Netflix include Bullet Train, Where the Crawdads Sing, and the sequels planned for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and the Venom, Jumanji, and Bad Boys franchises.

The films will be available to stream in what's known as a “pay one window” which usually begins about nine months after a film’s theatrical release, although that timetable may have been sped up for Netflix. The streaming deal spans five years and Netflix will pay about $1 billion to Sony over four years, The New York Times reported Thursday, and starts with the 2022 releases. As part of the pact, Netflix will also license an unspecified number of older titles from Sony’s movie vault.
