Those books all needed to be printed, either shipped globally or delivered by truck locally and I’ll bet that a hell of a lot of those no-one will ever read and will be in clearance section by Christmas or returned to the publisher to be turned into pulp. 

She could’ve done the much more environmentally friendlier option of simply publishing just the digital version and audiobook of it instead of having all of those polluting events happen with unnecessary physical copies.

How many people are truly going to want a permanent form of a singer’s words of fitness on their shelf? Going by the public response…almost no-one.

Yeah I never thought about that aspect so you’re right in that it does seem hypocritical for her to be releasing a book. But let’s not act like she’s directly contributing to a lot of greenhouse emissions since, as you said, people aren’t really buying the book.

Just because she’s inadvertently not contributing as much greenhouse emissions due to failing to be a successful book writer that doesn’t absolve her of the cold, hard fact that it’s directly still contributing way more to the issue than it would’ve had she not just made it a digital exclusive.

It’s not like she’s scared of doing digital only music releases, so it would’ve been the smarter and more eco-forward facing option to do if she wanted to put her words out there. Now they’re just going to collect dust instead.

Also she sent out a second email today as of late promoting it, which paired with her earlier Instagram plea only paints a larger picture of internal disappointment.

Maybe she shouldn’t slap her flop book’s title on fitness merchandising so eagerly next time.
