Metric

Do you miss when TV shows had 22 episodes per season?

Actually no, the seasons nowadays are a lot more compact and it makes the stories more effective. 16 episodes is the longest you should stretch it. But 10 episodes is the sweet spot.

When I used to watch television I was always baffled at how anyone had the patience for an entire season. In fact, in the UK we call it a "series", because our shows rarely run for more than 6-8 episodes (unless it's a soap opera). I do not have the wherewithal for 22 episodes jj4

Well with shows like the Simpsons there's nearly 25-30 episodes most seasons.

I like longer seasons true1

Also most tv shows don't show the whole season in one sitting. They air each episode once a week. If sitting through a whole season bothers you then just go in bursts. A few episodes a week if you must.
