Princess Aurora

Do you think Sia will come back after the movie drama?

No, she never was was it girl, just someone who got lucky with a few P!nk-esque hits and clever wigs.

She was already falling off anyway especially with the LSD project, and even more so after THAT movie.

Sia, deserves all the success she has gotten honestly. After all these years of writing hits for other ppl, she came out of the ashes like a phoenix and sort of created a very strong and interesting brand. She has so many hits at this point, I don’t think she needs another huge one.

Making that movie was a choice…but the backlash was so absolutely uncalled for. It clearly had no ill-intentions but gen Z and their stupid cancel culture were bored as usual.

That said, I think she might not get another big hit but who cares? She has built quite a fanbase and she is still making good music here and there. Her LSD project was actually really good.

No. She’s only been one hit per album.  And I think Sean Paul carried Cheap Thrills

The Sean Paul version was fucking trash, he literally brought nothing to the song

Absolutely fucking not. It’s dated and dangerous. I was actually shocked that Sia didn’t consult ANYTHING with specialists.

- you don’t sit on people with autism to “calm them down”

- autism is a spectrum, you don’t throw ALL autistic people in the same bag

- you don’t market your movie as one for autistic people and then put scenes with loud noises, quick camera movements and bright, flashing lights when 20% of AP have epilepsy

I didn’t say it wasn’t ill-informed but she most definitely didn’t have ill intentions when making it. She  shouldn’t have made that movie, true but to say she had ill intentions is wrong.

All that aside it just generally came across as very downgrading and mocking.

The movie literally was mocking autism?? Did you not do your fucking research about this movie? There was a reason (in fact there are many reasons) this movie got cancelled, and it's a good one as well. Firstly, Sia looked into a controvesial resource. Then she casted a NON-AUTISTIC person to act as the main character who is AUTISTIC. It is VERY offensive to have someone who is neurotypical acting as a fictional character who is neurodivergent. Maybe Sia had no ill intentions, but the way she was being so ignorant about the way she was portraying autism was very hurtful and offensive to the autistic community.

OT: Smart move downvoting me huh @Madonna? You know what I'm saying is true. But hey, I'm not the one who looks bad defending a movie that blatantly and carelessly mocks the autism spectrum.
