I wanna say I'm annoyed or angry at all this after following her and waiting etc but I'm just not surprised at all so I'm kinda numb to it all.

 

She announced an E.P to release one song . . . . which is probably the kind of song you release as a forth single or leave as a fan favourite album track, this will be lucky to get 100k stream first day.

I just don’t see the point of releasing music when no one is going to hear it, this song will do absolutely nothing and has pissed off a huge chunk of her fan base with more broken promises (3 E.Ps with 6 songs). We are 6 songs short and I for one am taking a break from Her cause I’m pissed off and frustrated at her lack of care for her fan base.

We'll get new a new English album in 2030 and watch her sell less than she did for Lotus and Lubricant.

I don't get this reasoning. She still has a large audience. Just because it's not as big as at her commercial peak it means that she should just give up and stop creating art? I guess all indie artists should quit making music too since "no one is going to hear it"...

Christina is no longer interested in "playing the game" to stay on top of the charts. She's set for life regardless, so she can just do the things she likes without having to worry about financial success. We as fans have to accept this because she's not going to change.

But I'll agree with you that the communication from her and her team has been atrocious this era. There's conflicting reports whether the 3rd EP is actually done or it's coming next Friday... We'll see next week I guess. I'll hold my disappointment till then.

Her fans are generally gay men aged 30-40… That’s all I’ll say.

Roc Nation and Christina are to be blamed. She should have never left Irving's management as he seemed more inclined to allow her legacy act to flourish, maybe we could have gotten another Vegas Residency had she stayed with him.

Roc Nation seemed to be interested to make Christina mainstream and be a Beyonce but we all know she just does what she wants. In a perfect world, this partnership could have made Christina more known towards Gen Z . Both EP's failed to generate a dent in the charts and that's worrisome for an artist of her caliber. Just look at Kylie Minogue, they managed her in 2014 and it resulted to her most underwhelming era, Kiss Me Once. Now, Kylie seems happy about the way things are and that she will never be able to break the US and is now concentrating in Europe, Australia and Asia, her biggest markets. 

Hopefully, X will see the light and find a management and label better fit for her and work with DJ Premier and Kara Dioguardi again for that Back to Basics 2.0 that was being rumored some years ago.

Or maybe do a full jazz album instead of churning out generic Trap music prevalent these days.

That's all I want from her, a better English album that does not chase trends because Lubricant was very underwhelming sonically. The only song that I constantly go back to is Unless It's With You as I have  added to my Back to Basics Playlist because it deserved to be near the God Tier production of her 2006 Magnum Opus.

Hopefully we get to see her reinventions once more because we have not been able to do so since Lotus.

She will never do any of that. You and I both know that. 

She will always do music in her own terms no matter what we say.

Hopefully, she will go down the Jazzy/Bluesy route because trap music really doesn't suit her.
