Kelly Rowland speaks to TMZ about forgiving Chris Brown

Recommended Posts

You'd think as someone who was in an abusive relationship, she'd know better. Anyways, Chris has gotten that and then some. The fact that he can still enter the Hot 100 is proof of that. Even with that, her, Chris Brown stans and his sympathizers should also understand that no one owes Chris Brown their forgiveness. The man was a nuisance for the better part of an decade or so. Even if he's been recently minding his business and staying out of trouble, he has a very troubled history that most people will not be quick to forgive.

Not to make this about color but Chris Brown stans love to use the "He's black, so he'll never not be canceled." excuse when clearly that's not the case. kesha2

As to Kelly speaking on this as if she's been possessed by the holy spirit um3kesha2

Who even says that?

Black artists are easier cancelled than white artists. Chris Brown obviously hasn't been as succesful and respected after what happened with Rihanna and other victims, but Johnny Depp (another abuser) is still doing appearances at the VMA's and Rihanna's savage x fenty show and a lot of people still defend him. So I really doubt anyone said that.

I've seen the comments more than enough on Twitter and other forums.

Chris does have SOME success with his music.

The Johnny Depp situation is a whole other thing though, since the trial has proven (or ruled) in his favor, while Chris' trials ruled in the victim's favor.

However, I don't think race should play ANY card when it comes to abuse, of any kind.

He's not a complete flop with his music, but you can obviously see that the majority of people don't respect him anymore and he hasn't got as many opportunities of work as he had before everything he did. The AMA's even cancelled on his MJ tribute.

And Johnny Depp is still considered a wife beater to UK court btw. He just won the defamation trial, which is a different thing.

Even though you don't think race shouldn't matter, it obviously does to people though.
