Yeah yeah I love One More Time & Green Light and they wouldve been highlights on Disco but theyre pretty out of place on Tension. Im never believing this puta again when she says Slow is the blueprint kylie2

I know exactly how you feel…I was expecting Body Language 2.0 (especially with the Vegas rumours and working with Kamille) and instead we got Aphrodite 2.0 eve1

I mean sorry to yall but BL is a bottom 4 Kylie album for me, maybe even bottom 3 sorry1

okay unpopular (?) opinion here - I absolutely love Kylie but to be completely honest first Kylie album I liked as whole really (+/- one or two songs) was X and all the albums that followed later jj4 but every other album before X is like 50/50 where half of songs are superior bops and other half good or meh fillers PZRcuZq.gif

That’s not shocking, as we all have had different entry points in Kylie’s career. Mine was LY and I still connect to that album after 23 years. I got lost a bit with Fever and BL until X came along. Somehow, she keeps drawing me back in when I count her out. She knows her fan base well. I’m eager to see what she has in store for the “Tension Tour” to draw me into this new era. So far, I’ve been slightly bored. PZRcuZq.gif

Oh my entry point was way earlier I'm Madonna fossil fan for a reason ny1 , just X is first Kylie album that worked for me as whole kylie3

I watched few of her Padam performances and the recent Tension one and tbh they are kinda lifeless wendy2 maybe she's still finding her way with new songs, but it seems like they dont transfer well into live performances in album version um1 maybe they should do some different mix for live performances

For me TENsion will definitely be higher than DisKo as it never won me over fully, Disco was kind of all of it on same note, it lacked at least one slower song and original album mix was horrendous. ngl extended mix edition helped me a lot to appreciate this album more, but im still okay with it for most part.

However it would explain why Green Light is really I think only one song so far from new album that i don't care much because it was literally taken from her Disco Demo folder and put in new album without any work done jj4

Apparently One More Time is also Disco outtake however it must have been reworked because it doesn't sound much like Disco, not to mention its probably my favorite track of this record ny5

I think they should put 10oo10, green light and Hands as bonus tracks and just put Hello, Drum and Piano on the album. The fact that this random collab and two random outtakes (Hands seems to be Disco outtake too) means that her label is horny for sales as they keep better tracks off to put on rerelease later and put random shit collab just to get few more streams and they had to fill space on album with something so they used demos from previous album ari8

Really One More Time and Green Light were Disco Outtakes? She could have easily placed it on the Disco Guest List Edition. I mean they are good tracks but yeah this album will likely age they way Fever did, very of it's time. With only a few memorable songs making the standard album and the better songs relegated to b-sides or sheleved until it leaks.

One More Time has the Sexy Love aand Spotlight (the demo from KMO) vibe. I actually like Green Light because it is more of a slinly Disco song than a full bop, the trumpet solo reminded me so much of The World Still Turns.

Padam Padam and Hands has that Body Language blueprint. Maybe something happened along the way that she had a change of mind.

This album feels like a default Kylie album like KMO before changing her sound for the next album just like what she did with Golden. Hopefully, her next album will not be another three our four year wait.

The fact that onlg 2 Kamille co-penned songs made the cut was telling. Generally Kamille penned tracks are always bops. I wonder why only two made the cut.

Also I agrih with Aphrodite 2.0 as this album feels like it. Hold On To Now reminds me so much of All The Lovers, one of Kylie's best singles.

I agree tho. They dont really translate well live. I think the latest PP performance is bettwr than the summer ball one but still. Nowhere near as good as most of the X songs worked live on tour. Hopefully thinfs will improve

Most of her live performances post pandemic were varied for me, some have been ok, some were not. I think her best this year was the World Pride performance.

The live Tension performance needs work because it was not the best. I did love Hold On To Now live, I think it would be best for her to sing it as the Encore because it deserves that main event hype.

Remember when there was rumour of a DISCO 2.0 but what we got was Guest List Edition? I think they were meant for 2.0, but she held them back.

She’s always wanted to Tour DISCO so these tracks will work well to bring DISCO and TENSION together on stage…and least that could be why she released them here. If she doesn’t perform them on Tour, then what was the point? um2

1. I’m not sure what happened with Kamille… She could have been her new Karen Poole or Sky Adams. rav3

2. Hold on to Now = The One ny1

oooh! definitely! i forgot to add earlier that i feel like her world tour will be mostly Disco & Tension Tour, as she couldn't tour Disco, and it seems like she really wanted to show off Disco, and Tension for sure partially is a transition from Disco to new era, and Tension re release will be definite edition of Tension era rih2

I think her sales will warrant a re-issue of Tension around Christmas 2024. whit1
