Carly left him in 2016. After EMOTION - she decided it was in her best interest to part ways. It was never announced which is why many people think she is still with him. Her manager since then has been, Laura Hess.

This isn’t even about Taylor. She was never his client, her issues with him have nothing to do with him as manager. 

The fact is he has been a negative influence in his client’s lives.

He overworked Ariana while she was in the midst of incredibly tumultuous moments in her life. He stood by and let Justin go off the rails when he, by his own admission, was in need of help. Scooter didn’t offer it to him or allow him to get it because he didn’t want one of his cash cows out of commission. That’s not to mention the fact that he pushed Justin way too hard at way too young an age and enabled a minor to get involved with drugs and alcohol. 

Scooter also plays favorites with his clients to the point that some of them have ended up worse off since joining him than they were before (Demi), and some just never got any of his attention at all and dipped (Carly). 

He’s been investigated for tax fraud, his business ventures are incredibly shady, and his reputation within the business is particularly poor and was even before the whole masters thing. It says a lot that an industry as forgiving of things as the entertainment world is doesn’t think highly of him.

I know you hate Taylor. I’m not saying that has to change, I don’t care. But you can hate Taylor while also acknowledging that Scooter has done some genuinely shitty things and is perhaps deserving of the mess he’s found himself in. You don’t have to support a bad person just because he’s an adversary to someone you don’t like. Being critical of Scooter doesn’t mean you somehow are in support of Taylor.
