I'm kinda shocked her label bothered to release it officially but I'm happy to have it for streaming services

I will say the original leaked tracklist worked better for me but obviously certain tracks were carried over to FTB aretha1

Treat Me Like a Hoe sounds like it belongs to Slut Pop and still sounds like a demo. Dirty Things fits but sounds very similar to Something About U.

At this point it sounds very 2020/2021 to me similar to Future Nostalgia and other music around the time because most tracks are that old or older.

BUT songs like Je T'adore, Born Again,  and Problematique are stand outs I thought deserved an official release and wanted on FTB even if just on a deluxe edition.

Those are the tracks I'll return to and add in with my FTB listens demi1

I’m so happy it got released, the album is so good and cohesive. The only song I don’t really like is Treat Me Like A Ho, the rest is top tier Kim Petras: fun, interesting and some songs are really Deep(er).mp3

The definitely added it because Coconuts, Hit It From the Back, Sex Talk, Revelations, and Future Starts Now were all intended to be on the original album.

To me it's still a demo and was used to pad the release back to album length.

But the tracklist with those songs is super cohesive and if it was released a few years back would have been a serve.

Even though Feed the Beast is not a cohesive album, it still makes more sense as her debut sonically and shows more progression as an artist in 2023.

True, I also feel like FTB has the bigger “highs” you know what I mean? I mean KOH and Claws are top tier of her discography, but I just love hoe cohesive Problematique is and that the songs we love and talked about for years got to see the light in the end. I’m so happy this surprise release happened.

1-8 was really hard because I literally have been loving and listening to these songs since they leaked, 1 day the other song is #1 for me, so take it with a grain of salt, but 9 & 10 are just ew1

Why? rih10

Every song sounds like Say So. They probably didn’t want Kim to come off as a rip-off. Also, Disco revival was dominated by Doja and Dua. Kim would have tanked.

That said, I also don’t think the album is particularly good. 😅

This is a good album but just got a really messy release.

I wanna think than when they released Feed the Beast this one wasn't planned because Revelations, Sex Talk and all those Problematique songs should NOT have been in Feed the Beast, that made the album not cohesive at all. The debut album should have stayed new songs only and dark songs only, they had enough songs for both eras to make full albums, I don't get it to be honest. Like add "Try Again", "Somber" or "Power" among others and you got the perfect Feed the Beast album and then all the disco songs on Problematique.

It's a shame also they left out "Future starts now" but being this released before Feed the Beast and adding it to Problematique later on didn't make sense, so I kinda get that.

Anyway they should have released this in 2022 as planned instead all this mess, it got released eventually so, lol, I really don't know what happened. Well, I'm thinking they did it to get her out of their contract sonner, but I hope that's not the case. She has talent, they just have to do it RIGHT.

Feed the Beast is the best debut album though as Problematique is a mix of lots of already released albums put together and it certainly should have been released in 2021- early 2022 at the latest. Having said that I can't wait to hear her future sound.
