Is Tate Mcrae the new Pop Girl in Town?

Yes, it's just a new generation. For instance we have Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Chloe x Halle, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, etc....

I wouldn't compare her to Camiltoe Carbonkel  what I like about Tate McRae is that she is REALLY talented! And she knows what we want: we want energy in pop music, choreographies, visuals, and she does it all  she's so young but I predict a bright music career for her

I could see her becoming one but I feel like in general she's just excessive in her stylistic choices both in dancing and singing.
By this I mean that she might have a great range, but she mumbles a lot and her voice is too nasal for people to understand. When she's dancing on stage I feel her choreographies are TOO explosive and full of energy. She has the skills to kill the choreo, but you can tell that choreo was made by someone who didn't take into account that she's dancing on stage and not in a studio. I mean, look at her performance of greedy on SNL... Why would you have a dance break on a 2 minute song? Just so people can tell that you can dance?

idk, her voice sounds equally nasal and whiny than camila's so that's where the comparison is made. i disagree on the rest because yeah, she can dance, but she was trained to dance in an specific way and you can tell (her snl performance says it all) so it seems like she's just kicking her leg high and then doing like 56 other dance moves in 2 seconds, all over the place. i just dont see it for her, she's annoying to me. she's not doing anything new either, tinashe, chloe and normani already did but the difference is that they didn't have a machine behind them, sadly

I feel like she has talent but I don't feel like she has a specific sound or style to set her apart.

But between label support and growth maybe.

In a sense she is. I remember Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo were all accused of being one. Maybe she could do the same but knowing RCA's reputation, I'm not so sure about that
