Yeah, except most other games do not have like 500 servers with 10-20 active people each.

When you start playing, you are assigned to the newest server unless you manually choose them. This means you are always separated from other people except if you all decide to start the game together and agree on a server to be in. In other games, the servers are usually region based and there aren't too many options.
