So yes, Tension II is sold out on her webstore, except for the cassette. The limited edition alternate covers have been brought back online - now at a reduced price (no longer as bundle).

Well, after a week…I’ve had a chance to get into the album and I must say that I quite like it. It’s much tighter in sound than Tension 1 and despite it having those duets at the end I would rate it an 8/10 and I would rank it higher than Tension 1 cause the 9 new tracks are skipless.

 

I bought the Extended Edition from her webstore and not only do I hate that the tracks aren’t in order after downloading them, I thought the mixing production was uninspired. Except for maybe Hello, the rest just don’t flow. I give it a 3/10 

Also, Extended albums have been something only Kylie does and she owns that format but I think this was just sloppy. I think hell will freeze over before this gets a physical release.

Despite what some say, I actually like the design aesthetic of Tension 2 more than Tension 1.

Well, speaking for Canada, I went to my local record store on Monday (21st) and they did not have the CD or Vinyl in stock. They had Fever, Tension (3 version), X but no Tension 2. I’m not sure if anyone else had the same problem with sourcing it at a store other than her webstore (which I ended up buying from). Obviously BMG didn’t distribute the product in Canada like they did in the past.

As for the US, there was no Target exclusive but considering Target didn’t send Tension 1 to stores (Only Target Online), I can see why BMG US decided to pass on any Target exclusive since they got stuck with unsold copies of Tension.
 

BMG in US/Canada probably thought that if they didn’t supply physicals that fans would just download digitally or stream but it backfired. Selling 12k in US is embarrassing considering the amount of time Kylie spent in the US doing promo. She also sold all those tour tickets but it didn’t translate to increased sales or streaming.

Tension I was great but felt all over the place sonically whereas Tension II sounds like a solid pop-dance album.
