I believe both Kiss and Emotion have gone gold in US. I just don’t think her labels (School Boy and Interscope) care to pay for their certifications. When her contract is over, they may certify them to get her to re-sign, but I doubt it.

My rough estimation is that the Dedicated Tour grossed 7 million dollars (100,000$/show including 30-40 VIP tickets for each show). Carly earned 70%, so enjoyed 5 million dollars Carly !

About $350. But the label has to be audited which is what the fee is really for. So, they had better have complete sales and streaming records to prove Gold sales with RIAA.

For 2022, she is set to perform at Mad Cool festival in Spain in July.

I hope she will perform at Coachella in April 2022. She was set to perform at 2020 Coachella but it was cancelled. She hasn't confirmed whether she will come back to 2022 Coachella yet.

If she returns, the Coachella performance will be a major milestone in her career, as it will solidify her status as an indie pop legend (similar to Robyn), boost her profile and last but not least, she will earn around 50,000$ for that 1-hour Coachella set.

Just a random fact, but I found out her great-paternal grandfather Axel Jepsen was from Arhus (second largest city in Denmark behind Copenhagen). She has always looked Scandinavian, especially during the E.MO.TION era (she bears a striking resemblance to Scarlett Johansson in Your Type music video).

@ajp Sorry if I annoy you, but can you tell me (and give me the source) how much E.MO.TION Side A, E.MO.TION Side B and Dedicated Side A, Dedicated Side B have sold in the US ??

I have tried my best to visit many music forums, and what I have found is that E.MO.TION Side A has sold around 60k in the US (NOT 36k, that figure was from December 2015). I couldn't find any information on how much E.MO.TION Side B and Dedicated have sold in the US, apart from first week sales of 7,262 and 13,187 copies respectively. About Dedicated Side B, I could not even find how much it sold first day in the US (it only had one day of sales). But in the UK Dedicated Side A sold 1,801 copies in one day.

And as you live in Canada, I would appreciate it if you tell me how much has E.MO.TION sold in Canada, apart from 2,600 copies first week. 

It's weird because it is SO DIFFICULT to find her sales number on the Internet. Do you know why??

That is new news to me. I’ve always known that her last name spelled Jepsen (with an “e”) was Scandinavian, but never knew her family was from Denmark. I always thought her family was from Sweden cause she’s always in Stockholm.

I just googled. Robyn's 2018 album Honey opened with 11k pure/15k SPS while Dedicated opened with 13k pure/21k SPS. 

And Robyn sold out Madison Square Garden. Carly sold out 2 nights at Hammerstein Ballroom in July 2019 (capacity 3,500). 3,500 x2 = 7000 (first night sold out in less than an hour)

Carly can definitely book MSG in the future. (albeit not now yet).

thank you !  She's always in Stockholm because it is the world's capital of pop music's producers. Anyway, ''sen'' is Scandinavian but only for Danish and Norwegian. For Swedish, it's ''sson''. And finally as you know, ''son'' (with just one ''s'') is English/Saxon.

That is common with all record labels. When an album does well, like Billie Eilish (also on Interscope), they tout their album sales weekly, but when an album doesn’t sell so well, they like to not talk about it. I would bet not even Carly knows what her sales are for any era, cause I personally don’t know. 
 

Having said that, She has been very lucky that streaming started to take off when she debuted in the music industry - or she would have been dropped by her label. Her streaming numbers have made her and her label money which makes up for weak first week sales. Just be happy Carly can still release music and don’t dwell on her sales numbers.

Carly can definitely book MSG in the future. (albeit not now yet).

Carly is better suited for smaller venues. Her music is more intimate than other pop artists.

Yes. And I (and we) can be even happier when Carly tour does well too. I was so happy when she sold 5,918 tickets in SF and did two nights in NY and LA back in 2019. Touring is her main source of income. She earns only 10,000$/month on Spotity (a rough estimation)
