@ajp I know you are not interested in this (anymore) but allow me to post this:

Some people perceive I Really Like You as a flop but it is actually a moderate hit, especially in the UK (#3 peak). It has a low peak position in the US but it had quite good longevity in the long run. In the US it peaked at #39 in the US (#31 on sales chart), #14 in Canada thanks to the strength of digital sales alone with zero radio airplay (IRLY was not played on US radio, I have talked to some of her American fans, they said that Carly was blacklisted by US radio due to her age). What about Canadian radios? Tell me, AJ, you are the witness.

IRLY was sent to radio in US and she did a tour of radio stations. It would never have reached #39 without radio play, same for #14 in Canada.  Scooter and her team wanted IRLY as lead singles cause it was a good transition between KISS and EMOTION and would appeal to all markets, including Japan. I think the problem was that 3 years after CMM was a long time and US radio lost interest in her.

Tracks 8-12 are all still in the vault, except for a live version of Dear Julien performed in Nanaimo, BC before the album was scrapped.

I’m still hoping she releases the album in full one day. Julien on Dedicated was the song reworked (same concept different production)

She often recycles lyrics, themes, ideas…just because one song got pulled from release doesn’t stop her from re-working it for another project.  I also think she has some songs recorded with different producers just to see the different results. I personally think she over thinks things

1) She has to tour Asia, Europe and then South America for it to be more successful than Dedicated. I would bet that she announces the second leg of her tour before the album comes out. She should do S.America after the New Year (summer there), then Asia/Australia and last Europe.

2) in 2012 streaming wasn’t counted in her KISS sales, but it continues to do well for the last 10 years. Interscope should have paid to certify it on its 10th anniversary - it would have been good promo.

@ajp  There's a long gap (6 November 2022 to February 2023) between the final date of US leg and start of UK leg. She will probably tour Australia and Japan and Philippines between that gap.

I don’t know…She will probably promote the album in November and then take a break and go home to Canada for Christmas.
