Yes, from the absolute genius that was "Tik tok but the party don't stop, no. ohhh ohhhh" and "This place about to bloooooowwwww"  to the acting prowess of Lindsay Lohan. Yeah, you are def one for talent.

We'll see. It'll be interesting to see if it can top Born This Way for me. That era, as sloppy and ridiculous as it was at times, was absolutely captivating and memorable. Everything she did was interesting. With ARTPOP, some of the music is definitely better - Aura, Gypsy, and Venus being among the best things she's ever done - but the era itself isn't as captivating. The album cover was flawless, Swinefest was really good, and I loved her rocking the Salvador Dali mustache, but pretty much everything else has just been rather flat. Her performances have all been rather weak, her outfits aren't as interesting/beautiful, and her persona just seems a bit off and pretentious in the wrong way. I also hate the actual execution of the era with us having heard something of nearly everything from the album.

I don't hate the ARTPOP era; I still think it's been great, but the era has felt a lot weaker than he previous two eras and in a lot of ways less cohesive, thought out, and organized than Born This Way (and that's saying something). The music is phenomenal though, so that's all that really matters. But yea, in my opinion, it hasn't been one of her best eras

Tbh if everyone here stanned raw talent then we'd be a forum full of Adele/Whitney/Mariah stans so no I don't stan talent I stan music that I can bear listening to and Gaga isn't one of those artists

ARTPOP is her best album to date (& my favorite of all time). This era is gonna be REALLY big & i'll make SURE to mop the floor with your bloody scalp in a couple of months when you see just what I'm talking about. Everyone here literally doesn't have a fucking clue. At first, I wasn't too sure about ARTPOP being massive, but after hearing the music, I am pretty damn confident that she's about to destroy the fucking world. Do What U Want is gonna be her biggest hit in a long time. Just watch.

I agree. This era, though I appreciate the care - free attitude, seems a bit lazy and rushed performance and concept wise. Gaga focused more on the music, which necessarily isn't a bad thing, but she needs to balance her time. It's weird to think that the beginning of this era was so precise and now it's a chaotic overload of ideas.

I like these slow reveals, but it does take away from hearing the final product - BUT it does give lots of promo.

Every era can't slay though. This might be one of her forgotten eras in the long run if she has a discography as big as Madonna's, but I think some songs may stand the test of time moo1

I really wish she had more control of this era to be honest. Song previews leaking and her lead single leaking was such a mess. I think she should have debuted Applause and followed with Do What U Want without releasing any clips of the other songs on the record. If she did that, I would imagine Do What U Want would have a much bigger impact with all the hype bubbling up from Applause.

Then again I'm not part of her promotional team what do I know.  carla1

dead at this thread backfiring :lmfao: As you can see, MANY people are loving the music. And it's not just here, it's EVERYWHERE. Gaga is on a lot of peoples radars again, not just little monsters. You'll see what I'm talking about in a few months ;)

Their is no doubt the music is amazing. The way the singles have been handled and the promotional tactics this era have been horrible.

sis, she's just getting started tho. We've only seen like 3 (?) performances and a couple of interviews. We haven't seen shit yet, and I feel like Gaga has some crazy shit up her sleeve. I honestly feel like the ARTPOP era is going to last a very long time. Not only that, but it's going to be one of her most memorable. The music is out of this world & the concept behind ARTPOP, imo, is brilliant. The thing is, I trust Gaga 100%. Gaga is incredibly smart, she is a master of fame. She knows EXACTLY what she's gotta do to make this era HUGE.  I wouldn't worry if I was you sis. sass1

She's just getting started. Literally, she's only done like 3 major performances. Do What U Want was the best decision she's made in her entire career. A couple of things have been messy, but I see a very bright future for ARTPOP with what's about to come.

Yea, honestly, I've felt from the very beginning that it all felt quite rushed to try to make up for lost time due to her hip injury. It just doesn't seem to have the precision and careful thought put into it that other eras had. I mean, even up until just weeks ago she was scrambling to decide which tracks to put on the album, telling us some songs were making it, then completely changing her mind days later. It all just feels rather last minute - even the music in some ways - even if that's not the case for everything. For me, this era just feels really weird.

Don't get me wrong, I obviously am still stanning it, and the music is slaying me, but something just seems so rushed, and I have to wonder if a part of me wishes she had taken just a few more months to plan for this album/era before dropping it on us. In the end, I can already tell I'll love the album (I already love some of the songs more than Born This Way and her entire discography), and I quite like the sort of messy feel of some of the songs (Venus, Mary J, Aura); I just feel everything could have benefited from more time - more so the era than the music though.

I'm glad she decided to make Do What U Want the second single. People can stan the song all they want too, but Venus isn't as radio friendly as Do What U Want.

Tbh so far the only song that has impressed me is Swine fall3.gif' alt='fall2'> but I give her credit for trying new shit even if it's not always as polished as it could be imo.

The biggest downfall of the era so far is the lyrics dead2 she's never been a lyrical master but this era they're really weak. Still gonna give the rest of the album a shot though because I want to like her again but it's just not happening yet
