We'll see. It'll be interesting to see if it can top Born This Way for me. That era, as sloppy and ridiculous as it was at times, was absolutely captivating and memorable. Everything she did was interesting. With ARTPOP, some of the music is definitely better - Aura, Gypsy, and Venus being among the best things she's ever done - but the era itself isn't as captivating. The album cover was flawless, Swinefest was really good, and I loved her rocking the Salvador Dali mustache, but pretty much everything else has just been rather flat. Her performances have all been rather weak, her outfits aren't as interesting/beautiful, and her persona just seems a bit off and pretentious in the wrong way. I also hate the actual execution of the era with us having heard something of nearly everything from the album.

 

I don't hate the ARTPOP era; I still think it's been great, but the era has felt a lot weaker than he previous two eras and in a lot of ways less cohesive, thought out, and organized than Born This Way (and that's saying something). The music is phenomenal though, so that's all that really matters. But yea, in my opinion, it hasn't been one of her best eras.

Gaga stans always wanna act like everyone is obsessed with her. But if we didn't listen to the music then you'd be going around BG saying that we aren't giving her a fair shot

She's released 2 singles, 1 promo single, a few snippets & has performed 4 times . Not to mention she's been looking great. And now they're saying it's Gaga's worst era ever when we're not even halfway through? That's not giving her a chance.

K but then how is it enough to start saying that it will be Gaga's best era ever musically, that she's gonna achieve new heights, sell more albums, have a bigger tour, etc? Why aren't you calling out those people for jumping to conclusions too?

 

 

We all know exactly the same things about artpop so far unless you're holding out on some insider knowledge or some shit. So so far it's disappointing and shaping up to be her worst era ever to some people, and to others it's shaping up to be her best. Just because some people aren't feeling it doesn't make them obsessed for listening and continuing to listen. You should be glad that they'd still be open to the new material even when they've had negative reactions to the first few things
